visceral and bleak and harrowingly accurate to the kind of hallucinatory thinking that sets in when left to one's own neuroses for too long. the prose was slimy and uncomfortable and had me physically recoiling from my computer screen which I'm given to understand was probably the goal so very very well done

The tense moments feel like they really stretch and the frantic ones feel so fast.
